While at SHOT Show this year we were able to meet many different celebrities. From the crew of “Sons of Guns” to Ted Nugent there were many people of all walks representing the shooting and outdoor industry. One of those may be one you have never heard of, but one you should none the less. His name is Trevor Baucom. Trevor is an ex-military competitive shooter with great skill and is one likable guy. Now you ask what sets him out from everyone else? Simply put, Trevor shoots from a wheelchair.
Trevor is a 13 year veteran of the military, with his career cut short by from a crash during a nighttime assault mission that left him paralyzed from the waist down.
Trevor became the first fully sponsored disabled shooter in the industry. He is a pioneer in action shooting sports for the disabled. I first learned of Trevor through the Shooting USA T.V. Series. I have to say it was an inspiration to learn of his drive to compete and becoming a sponsored shooter. I considered it one great honor to get to meet him.
Take a little time and check out the video below and learn about Trevor.
