Basic Rappelling
This one day course caters to the individual or group that wants to learn the thrilling experience of rappelling and sport style rappelling.
Course Covers:
- General Safety
- Equipment
- Anchoring
- Rappel and Belay Devices
- General “On Rope” Safety
- Knots for Rappelling and Climbing
- Techniques
- Self Rescue
- First Aid and Emergency Considerations
Course can be held in both a classroom and outside environment.
Course is open to anyone. Standards meet NFPA Awareness and Operations guidelines for Fire Service and Rescue Agencies.
High Angle Rope Rescue 1
This 2 Day Course (20 hour standard) covers the basics of Technical Rope Rescue.
Course instruction includes:
- Standards and Guidelines
- Personal Protective Equipment
- Hazard Recognition
- Ropes and Equipment
- Rappelling Techniques
- Rescue Devices
- Single Rescuer Rescues
- Victim Packaging
- Basic Rope Rigging
- Hauling Systems
- Low and High Angle Rigging and Operations
- Practical Operations and Planning
- Scenario Based Operations
Course is held in both a classroom and outside environment, basic knots and rappelling skills are a pre-requisite.
Course is open to anyone. Standards meet NFPA guidelines for Fire Service and Rescue Agencies.
High Angle Rope Rescue 2
This 2 Day Course (20 hour standard) covers Advanced Concepts found in Rope Rescue. This course focuses on complex systems and encourages the participant to think outside the proverbial “box”.
Course instruction includes:
- Standards and Guidelines Review
- Personal Protective Equipment Review
- Specialized Ropes and Equipment
- Victim Packaging Review
- Complex Rigging Systems
- Advanced Low and High Angle Rigging and Operation
- Complex High Line Systems
- Rescue and Team Planning
- Scenario Based Operations
Course is held in both a classroom and outside environment, TRS High Angle Rescue 1, or approved equivalent course, a pre-requisite.
Course is open to anyone. Standards meet NFPA guidelines for Fire Service and Rescue Agencies.
